jkaster: Free 3rd party tools
jkaster: for any BDS 2006 registered users

jkaster: outchy: "are these 3rd party tools fully functional or just demo?" - nick: they are fully functional. They are not a demo or time limited. They don't have all features of the full version.

jkaster: workin: "does this castalia have block highlighting?" - nick: yes, I believe it does if I understand the question.

jkaster: aikimark: "if a Delphi developer is maintaining a Win32/.Net codebase, would they be better off with two Turbo versions or one BDS2006 version?" - nick: That's up to the individual developer, but I would lean toward BDS. You can have one project group with both personalities. Plus, two copies of Turbo Pro would cost you more. Anders: You also can only have one version installed per machine.

jkaster: workin: "any recent DTG hires?" - nick: yeah, we've been hiring people.

jkaster: Bear: "How do you do the Delphi Beta Test in the future? Will it be public?" - nick: that's a tough question (editorializing continued)

jkaster: workin: "is the delphi nontech newsgroup a terrorist organization?" - nick: no, non-tech has just been a little lively

jkaster: aikimark: "Does that mean NO MO DevCO?" - nick: DevCo Oil in Santa Cruz is still in business

jkaster: cleggy: "Can these free Third Party tools be downloaded by Turbo owners?" - nick: no, this is a BDS incentive

jkaster: aikimark: "what about a new company name contest winner?" - nick: we got a lot of suggestions. but I don't think there was ever going to be a winner announced.

jkaster: Rwinston: "Any news on hotfix 7?" - nick: it should be out very soon.

aohlsson: aikimark: "you said it was a contest" - We're contesting that statement... ;)

jkaster: workin: "Nick please describe your office.. cubicle? jacuzzi suite?" - nick: I'm up on the third floor, with a window. My office faces the swimming pool.

jkaster: Blackbird: "Nick, are you sure you're from MN? You sound almost EXACTLY like a friend of mine who is from Illinois." - nick: I am sure I'm from MN

jkaster: cleggy: "When are the first ECO demos rearing their heads" - nick: it will be a while. I'm not ECO demo ready.

jkaster: Bear: "How about poAutoRefresh? It is not implemented for several years but the Help still describe its function! Why do you allow this happen? Please" - nick: please put a QC report in and email me the number

jkaster: Rwinston: "Do you keep the source code for BDS backed up somewhere safe from earthquakes, fires, floods, etc.?" - nick: yes, we absolutely do

jkaster: aikimark: "do you have a tape drive at the offsite?" - john: yes, of course

jkaster: workin: "request: malcolm groves for a delphi hour (ECO)" - nick: we can get him back on the show

jkaster: outchy: "what happened to the newsgroups and web servers during the last week-end?" - john: still waiting for details

jkaster: poAutoRefresh QC report

kaster: JNagle: "Is there any hope for an offical update 4 (5 counting unoffical) for BDS 2005?" - nick: That's when I wish Michael was here to properly phrase this. It's very unlikely.
