Abstract: This article updates BDN members about a lot of Eclipse activity happening at Borland and gives a list of recent interviews with Mike Milinkovich, Executive Director for the Eclipse Foundation.

There is a lot of Eclipse activity happening at Borland these days. Borland is a Strategic Developer and Board of Directors member for the Eclipse Foundation. We've announced our plans to build future generations of Java development solutions on top of the Eclipse Framework. Together 2006 was announced at JavaOne 2005 and is built on top of Eclipse with full support for the Eclipse Framework.

Borland's Richard Gronback is leading the Graphical Modeling Framework (GMF) Eclipse project. GMF team members held the project kickoff meeting in Prague the week of July 18th. Borland CTO, Patrick Kerpan is a keynote speaker at the upcoming EclipseWorld 2005 conference in New York.

"Borland's extensive experience and expertise with application lifecycle management is a great asset for advancing the Eclipse vision of a universal development platform," said Mike Milinkovich, executive director of the Eclipse Foundation. "We look forward to Borland's contributions to our Board of Directors, as a project leader, as a contributor of innovative technology and as a vocal advocate for the Eclipse platform."

We will have Eclipse coverage at our upcoming Developer Conference in the US, November 8-10 in San Francisco.

Stay tuned to BDN for additional Eclipse coverage.
