Abstract: What new functionality is introduced in the new ODS (On Disk Structure)

Problem:
New versions of InterBase introduce new functionality, however much of this functionality is implemented in the ODS (On Disk Structure). What new functionality is introduced in the new ODS versions?

Solution:
NOTE: ODS minor versions -- minor versions ARE compatible, but may be increasingly functional.

ODS version 6
-------------

ODS version 6.1 - adds fields for field level grant 
ODS version 6.2 - adds fields for referential integrity 
ODS version 6.3 - modifies type of RDB$MODULE_NAME field 
ODS version 6.4 - permits SQL security on > 27 SCHAR names 


ODS version 7
-------------

ODS version 7.1 - modifies type of RDB$MODULE_NAME field 
ODS version 7.2 - permits SQL security on > 27 SCHAR names 


ODS version 8
-------------

ODS version 8.1 - permits cascading referential integrity 
ODS version 8.2 - the same as ODS 8.1


ODS version 9
-------------

ODS version 9.0 - SQL roles & Index garbage collection
ODS version 9.1 - Index on RDB$CHECK_CONSTRAINTS (RDB$TRIGGER_NAME)


ODS version 10
--------------

ODS version 10.0 - SQL delimited identifier, SQLDATE, and 64-bit exact numeric type
ODS version 10.1 - system tables have default privileges for PUBLIC access


ODS version 11
--------------

ODS version 11.0 - BOOLEAN datatype & 68-byte metadata names
ODS version 11.1 - accommodates reporting precision of exact numerics
