Specifying a Column with 16 bit ODBC driver Alias Yields Original Column's Name

By: Borland Staff

Abstract: Solution is to upgrade to 32-bit ODBC driver.
The 16-bit ODBC driver version 2.10.0001 supports the column alias
feature but returns a column with the original name. For example,

select first_name as FN  from employee;

first_name <-- It should be "FN" not "first_name".

Intersolve 16-bit ODBC driver

The solution is to upgrade to the 32-bit ODBC driver. If you are on
Windows 3.1, you will need to upgrade to Windows 95 or Windows NT
in order to install the 32-bit ODBC driver.
