Problem:
You have Delphi 6 installed but when you go to apply Update Pack 2 you get "Setup was not able to find an existing installation to update. This installation cannot continue. The product may not be installed, or the Registry may be damaged"
Answer:
This error can occur if the RootDir, Version entries in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Borland\Delphi\6.0 and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Borland\Delphi\6.0 are missing or invalid. To resolve this, you will need to create the keys and give them appropriate values.
