Abstract: The release notes included with IB 4.2 for Windows NT have instructions for NT 3.51 instead of 4.0
When following the guide line for performance tuning in the Installation
and Release Notes included with InterBase 4.2 for Windows NT,
instructions listed apply to NT 3.51 rather than for NT 4.0.
The following explains where to set the Optimization for the two operating systems
within the Network control panel:
Windows NT 3.51 Server:
In the Installed Network Software tab, select Server and click on Configure
Windows NT 4.0 Server:
Click on the Services tab and then choose Server | Properties
For heavy database access, it is recommeded to use the "Maximize
Throughput for Network Applications" setting.
