Loading InterBase on Win95 machine w/ clients connecting in Peer to Peer Network
By: Borland Staff
Abstrakti: TCP is the only option in an all windows95 environment.
Problem:
I am using win95 networking to connect win95 clients in a
peer to peer configuation. All clients will point to a single
.gdb file on a win95 machine. What protocol should I use
to connect these machines? What software should I have
loaded on each machine? Should I load the server software
on each one?
Solution:

Note: The information in this article applies to
InterBase v5.x
/********************************************************************************/
Win95 does not have the capability to act as a NetBEUI server. Thus
TCP is the only option in an all windows95 environment.
You should load the server software on the machine with the .gdb file.
The client software should be loaded on all other machines.
