To create a *very* simple CD Player application, try the
following:

File | Close All
File | New Application
Drop a MediaPlayer on the Form
In the Object Inspector's Properties
for the MediaPlayer set the following:
    - Device Type = tAutoSelect
    - AutoEnable = true
    - FileName = Click on ... navigate to
         the CDROM and select a track
         on the CDROM.
Build the application and run it.
Now, clicking on the buttons in the MediaPlayer
correspond to actions relating to the media file.
