Hand-arm vibration syndrome and and vibrating computer games

In a letter pubblished in the February 2002 issue of the Brittish Medical Journal, doctors at the Department of Paediatric Rheumatology, Royal Liverpool Children's Hospital, report a case of Hand-arm vibration syndrome that may be associated with prolonged use of vibrating computer games. The case involves a 15 year old boy. The doctors encourage other physicians, finding patients with the same symptoms, to report their findings.

We already know about repetitive stress syndrome. Doing anything to an extreme can have consequences. Is this the start of problems for gamers using new games and "real world feedback" devices?
