It’s a common scenario. It’s 2:25 pm on a normal Tuesday afternoon and your palms are sweaty, your stomach is upset, and your boss is in a really bad mood. What could be wrong? It’s not something you had for lunch, nobody else is showing the same signs as you… what could it be? Of course, it’s your weekly code-review! The code you’ve been working on is going to be put under a microscope by some of your peer developers! Sound familiar? It probably does. Most developers that I talk with get stressed about peer code reviews. A big part of the stress is that a lot of subjective issues can arise that don’t really have anything to do with the actual process of reviewing code.
