Installation Notes for RadPHP™ XE

    Minimum System Requirements

  • 512 MB RAM (1 GB for Microsoft® Windows Vista™ or Microsoft® Windows 7)
  • 300 MB free hard disk space
  • SVGA or higher-resolution monitor (XGA recommended)
  • Mouse or other pointing device

Processor:

  • Intel® Pentium® III/M 1.4 GHz, or Pentium IV 1.4 GHz minimum

Windows:

  • Microsoft® Windows 7
  • Microsoft® Windows Vista®
  • Microsoft® Windows Server® 2008 (SP2)
  • Microsoft® Windows Server® 2003 (SP1)
  • Microsoft® Windows XP Professional (SP3)
  • Windows® 2000 Professional (SP4)
  • Windows® 2000 Server (SP4)
  • Note: The latest service packs and security updates are recommended for all platform.

Internet Explorer version 6 or higher is required to support the HTML designer functionality of RadPHP


    Installing RadPHP

In order to install on Windows Vista or Windows 7, you must run as Adminstrator or be on the Adminstrator list to install the product

Installing RadPHP Using Electronic Software Delivery

  1. Select "Install RadPHP XE" from the launcher or run the radphp_install.exe directly.
  2. Select English as the Setup Language. Note: Other language options are not officiallly supported.
  3. Accept the product license agreement. Note: You must accept the agreement to continue.
  4. Select a destination location.  The installer suggests a default location.  If you want to install to a different folder, click the Browse button and navigate to desired location.
  5. Select the components you want to install.
  6. Enter a name for the Start Menu folder or accept the default.
  7. Specify whether to create a desktop icon.
  8. Click "Install".

Installing RadPHP Using a Media Kit

  1. Run install.exe to run the install launcher. The launcher will give you the choice to install RadPHP and InterBase Developer Edition.
  2. Check the boxes to select the products you wish to install.
  3. Continue from Step 2 in the ESD instructions

    Registering RadPHP

If you purchased a standalone version of RadPHP XE, the first time you use it, the Registration Wizard will appear. If you purchased Embarcadero RAD Studio, registration information has already been placed on your system by the RAD Studio install.

Online Registration

This method requires a direct internet connection.

  1. Enter your serial number for RadPHP.
  2. Enter your EDN login information.
  3. Click Register

Web Registration

Use this option if your computer is not connected directly to the internet, but you have access to a machine that is connected.

  1. Take note of the Registration Code in your registration wizard
  2. On a computer with Internet connection, go to http://reg.codegear.com.
  3. Enter your Serial Number and Registration Code, and click Next.
  4. At the bottom of the screen, choose to email yourself an activation file.  
  5. Follow the instructions in the email to complete the process.

Where do I find my serial number for RadPHP?

  • If you purchased the product via electronic software delivery, the serial number will be on your order confirmation screen or in your order confirmation email.
  • If you downloaded a trial from the Embarcadero web site, you request a serial number by email. You can also go back to https://downloads.embarcadero.com/free/radphp to resend your trial serial number.

    InterBase 2009 Developer Edition

InterBase 2009 Developer Edition provides all developers the best cross-platform database to build and test database applications for embedded and SME segments. Developers are free to choose the standard connectivity they want, and make use of a mature SQL92 compliant database for their applications. Database Performance monitoring allows the developer to streamline applications for optimal deployment.

Important: This version of InterBase is licensed for development use only. Deployment Edition must be purchased separately.

Installing & Registering InterBase

Install InterBase by clicking the InterBase button on the install launcher on your media kit or download it from http://downloads.embarcadero.com/free/interbase if you are using Electronic Software Delivery.

Register InterBase 2009 Developer Edition using serial number: FBCB-8TAAEA-BJAZAD-34GC.


    Partners / Additional Product Installs

The launcher will direct you to addition product available at the time of release.  However, we may occasionally provided more updates or incentive to registered users. If you have registered your product, please check http://cc.embarcadero.com/reg/radphp periodically for any items may interest to you.  


    Uninstalling This Product

To uninstall the product, the Administrator who initially installed the product must open the Control Panel, choose Add or Remove Programs, select RadPHP XE and click the Remove button.  After uninstalling, in order to remove user-specific data from the Windows registry, all non-Administrator users of the product must log in and delete the following registry key:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Embarcadero\RadPHP\3.0
WARNING: Registry editing is performed at your own risk. This document and other documentation that accompanies this product describe how to edit your Windows registry. In most cases, Embarcadero recommends that you use the Microsoft Regedit tool to perform editing. Whatever tool you use, however, you should, before making any changes, make backups of your registry and thoroughly familiarize yourself with the editing tool and the registry editing process. The registry is a critical component of your operating system, and any mistakes you make while editing it can cause your machine to stop functioning.
