Question:

Many of the Tabs and Icons are missing from the UI Designer. The following error(s) also occur in the message pane:

<package>.<ClassName> does not provide a bean image.

How is this issue resolved?

Answer:

Something has become corrupted in the user settings for JBuilder.

Try the following:

Remove this folder (you may wish to make a backup copy of it first):

<user home>.jbuilder7

For example, on Windows 2000/XP, this will be:

C:Documents and Settings<user name>.jbuilder7

On Windows NT, this would be:

C:WinNTProfiles<user name>.jbuilder7

Once this directory has been removed, restart JBuilder. JBuilder will regererate the user settings.
