Abstract: Some simple steps for setting up your system to successfully profile JRun
How do I get Optimizeit's audit system to attach to JRun?
1. Follow the procedure in the Generic Tutorial to add the OptimizeIt
components to the classpath, LD_LIBRARY_PATH, and java arguments. In
addition to the java arguments in the tutorial add -DGCOPSIZE=5. This
additional argument prevents JRun from crashing when OptimizeIt is started.
2. In the left frame of the JRun console click "Web Applications", then
click "Deploy an Application" in the right frame.
3. In the application information window put the path to the OptimizeIt war
file in the "Servlet War File" field: /lib/servlet/optimizeit.war.
4. Name the application "OptimizeIt".
5. The application URL is "/optimizeit".
6. Click the Update button, and then restart JRun.
To start the audit system on the server go to
http:///optimizeit/OptimizeIt and then click the button to start
the audit system. Then you can attach to it from the OptimizeIt client.
