JBuilder 5: Mandrake 8 FAQ

By: Josh Fletcher

Abstract: Install/run problems and workarounds for Mandrake 8.

Question:

I'm having problems installing and/or running JBuilder on Mandrake 8. What can I do?

Answer:

The following is a list of known Mandrake 8 issues for JBuilder 5:

  • Review the JBuilder 5 Linux Installation FAQ.
  • See article 27291.
  • See article 27307.
  • Verify that you have at least 250 MB of free space on your /tmp partition. The installer needs this work space and if it does't have it, it may fail silently.
  • You may need to hand-mount the cdrom with the following command:

    mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom

To make this change permanent, edit the /etc/fstab file, or use any tool in Mandrake which handles maintaining that file.
