Abstract: There may be open connections that need to be closed.
InterBase is displaying the error message "Max User Count Exceeded" and will not allow any more connections to my database. This error can occur for 2 different reasons:
1. The Concurrent User License count has been exceeded.
2. The InterBase Guardian has left open connections to a database that is not active.
This information applies to
1. To increase the allowable Concurrent users allowed, you must purchase additional Concurrent User Licenses.
2. If you believe that you have not exceeded your license you can stop the InterBase Guardian manually from the task bar. Make sure you have closed all connections to the database in question, and to InterBase in general. Now restart the Guardian. Open IBConsole and login to a server. Left Click on the word USERS. There should now only be the one User that is connected through IBConsole.
