Kylix and Delphi 6 come with a number of changes in the compiler and the runtime library. In this new Dr. Bob Examines article, I'll show you a few of the nice new features that I've encountered in the few weeks that I have played with Delphi 6 (note that since these are compiler and RTL features, they are present in every version of Delphi 6 - and Kylix for that matter).

The new features that I'll cover this time are:

  • New compiler directives
  • (Custom) variants
  • Enumerated types
  • Typed constants
  • Interface properties
More coverage of the new features in Delphi 6 and Kylix will follow later.
