further to my question, i continued with the tutorial, and pointed the Web Services Importer tohttp://127.0.0.1/myvirtualdir/ShakespeareWS.exe/WSDL/IShakespeareand it worked like a dream, so i am still curious as to why i couldnt view the wsdl file as you described, but apart from that it works.cheers again for an interesting article.

Nick, thanks for such a great article! However, when I try to run the client I get a msg stating 'No class registered to implement interface ShakesIntf.IShakespeare for soap action /soap/IShakespeare'I'm running locally on a Win NT4.0 SP6, IIS4, system. The interactive call to ../wsdl/IShakespeare shows the WDSL definition on the browser, so that part of the service seems to be OK.Is there a missing step in you article? Thanks a lot.

re: Shakespeare on the Web

This seems like a really cool and informative article. I love examples. There's not enough of them. Alas! My D6 Professional edition doesn't have the Websnap or Webservices tab in the New dialog. I wish the individual programmer didn't have to pay so much for Web functionality. There's no way I can afford it to play around and see how it works. It seems there must be a better way to license the code when it is used for production. Is there any other way to be able to use this article with D6 Professional? Thanks.
