I'm running JBuilder 5 in the KDE 2.x window manager on Linux and there are serious painting problems (e.g. windows are too small or too large). What can I do?

These are known issues with the JDK that ships with JBuilder 5. There are several workarounds for the problem:
- Use Sun JDK 1.3.1
- Use the latest rev of IDM JDK 1.3
- Use the Enlightenment window manager under the KDE desktop manager
- Use the Gnome window manager
Should you choose to switch the JDK that JBuilder runs on, please be aware that you will not receive support for side-effects encountered from doing so. Should you still wish to do this, you will need to edit the JBuilder 5 jdk.config file. You will need to edit any paths in this file that point to the current JDK and make them point to your replacement JDK.
