Abstract: Errors are written to the stand error output, which is different than the standard output.
A. isql -i input.sql 2>error.txt
This will redirect all errors to error.txt if your Operating System allows redirection of the standard error output. Windows NT/2000 and all flavors of Unix allow this.
The reason you might want to do this is if you have a script that generates more errors than you can see on the screen, you can capture the errors to a text file and not loose them because they have scrolled off the screen.
