Open source operating system isn't just for hackers anymore.

The Economist -- the Economist! -- has published a brief article documenting the changing face of Linux. Once the darling of free-software hackers, Linux is increasingly being embraced by corporations who see it as a viable alternative to Windows NT and commercial Unix implementations as a server OS. "Recent events suggest," the article says, "the Linux...may have outgrown the commune of its birth."
