The Inprise Application Server that comes with JBuilder 4 uses
different license keys than JBuilder does. To get your license
keys, please locate the paper slip in your JBuilder 4 box that
says, "How to Obtain Your Inprise Aplication Server Developer
License Key." This paper shows the following URL:
The page shows a 4 step process. The first step is to login or
become a member of the Borland Community. If you are already a
member, skip ahead to "Logging into the Community."
Click the New User button to begin the new account process. You will
go to a Member Information page where you can select a username and password
and fill out some information about yourself. Fields marked with a pink
dot are required. After filling out the required fields, click Continue.
You will then go to a Profile Information page. Fill out the information
according to your preferences and click Submit at the bottom. An activation
code will be sent to your specified email address. In this email, there is
a link that you need to click on to activate your Community account. Once
you click on this you will have activated your account. Go back to this page
to continue:

Click on the link for Step 1 to continue.
"Logging into the Community"
Enter your username and password to login. Make sure you have cookies enabled
in your browser. Logging in takes you to a Inprise Application Server 4.1
survey. Fill out the survey and click Submit to continue. You will be taken to
a page where you will need to enter the Serial Number and Authorization Key
from your JBuilder 4 CD sleeve. Enter these codes and click Submit. The license
keys for Inprise Application Server will appear.
Please note that when you install IAS, you will need to enter both the company,
"Inprise", and the Key as it appears for your platform to correctly license it.
Entering anything other than Inprise for the company will result in a failed
license.
Happy Coding!
