We have been getting many requests about the future of the IBPerl project. When we asked Bill Karwin what his plans were he told us this:

"IBPerl is my Perl 5 interface for InterBase application programming. I'm maintaining and enhancing IBPerl to be a robust solution for Perl developers to use InterBase. I'll continue to offer IBPerl as a free and open source product, and to add features to it. I'm currently working on Beta version 0.8, and I'm designing my own web site to host this software. Look for my announcement on InterBase newsgroups in the near future.

In the meantime, you can download IBPerl Beta 0.7 as part of the DBD::InterBase offering from Ed Pratomo. Get this package at http://www.cpan.org/modules/by-authors/id/E/ED/EDPRATOMO/.
