How do I use FIBComponents with CBuilder?

Abstract: Step by Step Instrunctions on getting Free InterBase components installed in C++ Builder
Problem:
I can't get Free InterBase (FIB) to install in BCB
Solution:
> For CBuilder
> 1.) Chose Component|Install component..., in UNIT FILE NAME filed
> chose FIBDataSet.pas. Do not compile immediately.

> 2.) Use IMPLIB from (BCB)Bin to build your own import library:
> IMPLIB -c -f my_gds32.lib gds32.dll.

> Add it to one of the project's nodes (The 'Contains' node).

> 3.) Add VCLDB40.bpi to the project (to the same node where you see
> DCLUSR40.bpi).

> I was unsuccessful with this and only was able to make it
> work by adding it to the 'Requires' node.

> 4.) Display project properties. In tab Directories/Conditionals add
> VER120 in Conditions field (this field is the second from the bottom of
> the dialog).

When building an application I was only successful
if I physically added the 'gds32.lib' to the project.
Without doing so I received a bunch of 'unresolved isc_'
messages.
