Abstract: This bug is fixed V2.00.0902 of the Visigenic ODBC driver.
When retrieving data from a varchar field via ODBC, data is truncated when it's
over 255 bytes.
IB v 4.x
Visigenic InterBase ODBC driver V1.00.809
Workaround is to use char instead of varchar in your table definitions.
This is not an attractive solution thus, there is another less painful
work around to this bug. That would be to cast the value in the SQL
create domain vc32k varchar( 32768 );
create table foo (
bar vc32k );
/* from ODBC interface */
select cast( bar as char( 32768 ) ) from foo;
