Multiple Connection using SQLDriverConnect with ODBC Driver

By: Borland Staff

Abstract: Bug with the Visigenic InterBase ODBC Driver version 1.00.0809.

Problem:
Getting error:
" applicationxx caused an invalid page fault in module at ...etc...
1.00.0809
ISCDRIV32.DLL
ISCDR32
7/19/1996
151,040 bytes"
when trying to execute more than one SQLDriverConnect with the Visigenic ODBC driver
On Windows 95 platform. The following sequence of execution in ODBCTEST (v 2.0) will also
reproduce the same problem:
1) SQLAllocEnv
2) SQLAllocConnect
3) SQLDriverConnect
4) SQLAllocConnect
5) SQLDriverConnect --> Page fault here.

Solution:
IB V4.x
Visigenic ODBC Driver 1.00.0809

This is a bug with the Visigenic InterBase ODBC Driver version 1.00.0809. This has been
fixed in version 2.00.0900 of the ODBC Driver; Contact InterBase Technical Support for ODBC driver upgrade.
If the new driver is not readly available, then the workaround would be to use SQLConnect instead of
SQLDriverConnect.
