well, a beta version (also to pay) would be really great for me ...(I'm quite impatient, checking borland site 2-3 times a day !!)anyway, if a beta version is not possible, what I really needto know is the default database (MySql ?) that Kylix will be using, sothat I can start working/learning on it...actually, I'm really slowingdown my app production waiting for kylix moves !!best regards ! We haven't announced any plans for a free beta version, although we've said (in public) that we're considering it. The beta test is currently full.Don't need to know Delphi any better than you currently do. That's what cross-platform Delphi is about -- knowing Delphi and developing on multiple platforms. Then, you can learn specifics of the OS as you need to. there will be a free beta version downloadable from borland ?or how could I become a beta tester ? should I be a super-delphi-guru (not yet, and probably i'll never be, but I'm hardly working on it) ?i'm really serious with totally abandoning winzlow world...my hope is seeing my database applications working both on clientand server sides under linux (or maybe a delphi-solaris version ? )best regards to all linux-delphi guys !!!
