Antique Software: Turbo Pascal v5.5

I worked for years with v3, v4 &5.5 but for purposes of making a living have since used RPG & RPGLE on the IBM AS400. In the process, I neglected my PC programming skills. I no longer have access to a AS400 and was very happy to find that Turbo Pascal was available here. I again have the ability to write need programs without resorting to the hated basic or having to learn C++ or Java. Thank you.

Antique Software: Turbo Pascal v5.5

Fantastic! Pascal is still my favorite programming language. It is easy to write and easy to read. Unfortunately, I would like to have Pascal compilers on other platforms as well. Years ago I wrote a Pascal compiler I was missing so much (for 8051 microcontrollers, http://turbo51.com/ ). Now I would like to have some Turbo Pascal compatible compiler for ARM Cortex platform. Any volunteers?

I use turbo pascal as my main development tool for biological applications; analysis of abundance data from natural ecosystems.Up to now my main computer was an old POD (486) But it just died. Time to move dev elopment to my mac G4 running OS X.I sure hope it would be possible to get a new turbo pascal systemBTW I would be happy to PAY for anything that's available, including a CD with TP on it.
info.borland.com/devsupport/pascal/ info.borland.com/pascal/pascalnet.htmlFrom www.taoyue.com/tutorials/pascal/compilers.html The two main open-source compiler projects are: * GNU Pascal http://www.gnu-pascal.de/gpc/h-index.html * Free Pascal http://www.freepascal.org/"Free Pascal is generally considered friendlier for novices, and strives to emulate Borland Pascal in many ways, though both will serve fine for learning Pascal." Downloads are available at http://www.freepascal.org/download.var The latest release is 2.2.0. "Win32, Win64 and WinCE (Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP, Vista)" and other platforms. Also found on the web else where is BR.rar and Borland.rar, but these are ver7 in a Dos GUI package.I still like the GUI of WIN ver 1.5 with color highlights.
