Stick It!
By: John Kaster
Abstract: If you don't tell us where to stick it, we'll tell you
by John Kaster,
Inprise/Borland Developer Relations
... To the sticking point
In the past, some of our customers have been frustrated with one or more things we have done here
at Inprise/Borland (like changing the company name). I'm sure some of them wanted to tell certain people
here at Inprise/Borland where to stick it. If you've ever wanted to do this, here's the
perfect opportunity.
Here are two new bumper stickers we have that focus on the primary goal of the company; to get our developer customers
to the Net as fast as possible.
and
They're much larger in real life.
The stick
We're actually inviting you to tell us where to stick it. In fact, if you don't tell us, we'll tell you
where to stick it, in the comments for this article.
If you want to tell us where to stick it, just tell us how many
bumper stickers you want, and we'll send them to you for free. Yes, that's absolutely FREE of charge.
We'll even pay for the shipping.
Please send an email to
Karen Giles, and tell her:
Your complete shipping address
How many "Go .com yourself" or "Webvolutionaries" bumper stickers you want.
We'll ship up to 5 bumper stickers to you (demand has been really high).
If you want more, we'll send more after we receive your pictures.
If your pictures are really good, we'll send you more than 5 bumper
stickers the next time.
After you get the bumper sticker, put it up in the most awesome place you can find,
take a picture of yourself with it (if that's possible without hurting yourself), and get it
ready to send to us (electronically, naturally!). In a short time, I'll let you know where
to send the picture, and we'll post them on the community site for everyone to vote on
their favorite Stick It! picture of the week.
The carrot
The weekly winner will be given something they'll enjoy; a mug, a T-shirt, or some other Inprise/Borland goodie.
If you have suggestions for where you'd like to see one of our bumper stickers, use the "Comment" link
at the top of this page, and add your suggestion to the comment thread. If you need some additional
inspiration, you may want to look at some pictures I took on a recent
trip
