Why after loading BDE 5.0 on Windows '98 machine with SR2, does the BDE Administrator not respond? There is no error message, it just freezes. Delphi is running fine.

ANSWER:

This is due to a conflict with Microsoft's generic SVGA video driver. If you switch to the card manufacture's updated driver, make sure you have 256 colors. This should solve the problem. You may need to experiment with different drivers.
